Japanese Speech Contest update

The tenth annual JLTI Speech Contest (held in The Clocktower, Marlborough Steet on March 3rd) was a great success. Once again the standard of Japanese was amazingly high and it was great to see so many people enthused about the language. The IJET Alumni prize went to Emma Bates (ALT Shiga, 2003-2008) with an excellent speech about her deep and abiding love of tofu, which had us all rushing for the inarizushi afterwards. There were a lot of great prizes and two overall prizewinners received return tickets to Japan. Hmm, now where did that entry form for next  year go?!
