Kumamoto Artpolis: Architecture through Communication:
An exhibition of photographs co-presented by the Embassy of Japan in Ireland and the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland, in co-operation with the Japan Foundation, to be held at the Royal Institue of Architects of Ireland.
Projects on display include public housing, community centres, museums, schools and bridges.
Included in the PDF linked below is a photograph of the Ushibuka Haiya Bridge which was designed by world-renowned Dublin-born structural engineer, Peter Rice (also famous for the Sydney Opera House), and architects Noriaki Okabe and Renzo Piano. This project also features in the exhibition.
The exhibition will run from Wednesday March 5th to Tuesday March 25th, and is open from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday. Admission is free.
