Japanese Language Proficiency Test

The most widely recognised Japanese exam is the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, administered by the Japanese Ministry of Education and the Japan Foundation. The test now has five levels, N1 (the most difficult) to N5. Since 2009 the test has been held in Dublin, in Dublin City University. The usual test date is the first Sunday in December, and the test fee is €50 to €60.
